Day 2: Lisbon
In a half day walking tour, you'll discover Lisbon.
Lisbon, the city of the seven hills, will seduce you in every neighborhood, on every street. It’s old. It’s modern. It is, without doubt, always surprising.
It's a cosmopolitan city with so much to see and do that it is difficult to have enough time to see everything you want. For today, we suggest a selection of things from amongst all those you can do, which cannot be missed in the Portuguese capital.
Start with the historic Alfama and Castelo districts, with one of the most fabulous views over the city and the river. In Chiado and Bairro Alto, the most bohemian part of the town, stroll around, feel the atmosphere and do some shopping.

Day 3: Sintra
Sintra, the Mountain of the Moon, is a place full of magic and mystery
With a perfect combination of nature and historic monuments, today you'll discover nooks and crannies of a landscape that is a World Heritage site with a hiking tour.
Emerge in the Cultural Landscape of Sintra and before entering the botanical sanctuary of the Pena Park, stop in the Moorish Castle, back on the early days of the Moorish occupation in the 8th Century.
Continue you walk to the top of the hill, to find one of the most romantic palaces in Portugal, the Pena Palace. The interior of the palace is still decorated according to the tastes of the kings and queens who lived there. Outside, Pena Park reflects the intellectual and artistic trends of the 19th century, the era of Romanticism.

Day 4: Flight to Madeira Island
After check out, transfer to Lisbon airport for a flight to Funchal (included). Once you arrive in Madeira Island, pick up the rental car at the airport.

Day 5: Levada
Today you'll do one of the most famous activities in Madeira Island: a walking tour in a levada.
Levadas are a network of irrigation channels, used to distribute the abundant water that flows from springs at the top of the mountains amongst the slopes and valleys, covering several protected areas. With some of them you can discover the soul of the island, away from the beaten track.

Day 6 to 8: Madeira Island
The Island of Madeira, the floating garden of the Atlantic, is known for its natural beauty. You'll find exotic colours of the flowers standing out from among the blue sea and the emerald green vegetation, where the largest Laurisilva forest in the world is located. Visit Madeira Natural Park, at Ribeiro Frio, or make your way up to the Pico do Areeiro, the island’s third highest point. Discover Curral das Freiras, located in a deep valley, with one of the most striking landscapes on the island or head north, towards, Porto Moniz, for a reinvigorating plunge into the famous natural rock pools.

Day 9: Departure
Departure to Funchal airport and drop off the rental car, for your flight back home.
